to 9.9 feet, that's two feet within flood stage him. we expect the moderate flooding to transition to minor flooding by 9 or 10:00 a.m. back on the big board. 57 degrees, very mild, don't be fooled temperatures will be dropping during the day, we'll be in the 40s as soon as noon and in the low 40s by 6:00. and heading to the 30s overnight. there will be a wind adding to the chilly feel especially e as we get into the afternoon. we'll talk about the flooding that's the going on and everything else that's ahead in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. >> reporter: it's causing headaches for the morning commute. looking live on i-95 at cottman, that's southbound traffic heading toward center city, no delays or problems with flooding right here. secondary roads it's a whole other story. we have water on the road at lincoln drive northbound at rittenhouse street. it's not too high, it has not closed down lincoln drive at
this point. watch for that be careful. cheltenham, poe a downed pole. we had a down tree. flooding is an issue at 47. we have a couple of spots causing a problem. route 44. crown point road near paradise road blocking a lane. brocking a lane on 130 at 322. give yourself extra time and drive cautiously. let's head outside live to katherine scott with road conditions, overnight katherine it was ugly out there, what does it look like now?
>> reporter: well, tam, it's looking better, but you want to use caution if case there's residual damage or flooding. the schuylkill expressway in the westbound lanes at city avenue traffic is moving along just fine. overnight down the road by girard and montgomery in the eastbound lanes there were major problems on the schuylkill expressway. flooding shut down the eastbound lanes for hours, crews were out unclogging the storm drains and then they had to clear away the mud and the slop. there are problems on multiple spots on i-95. among them northbound lanes were shut down porch richmond during the height of the storm. 1 cars were damaged -- 13 cars were damaged, they hit a poll hole and police were on the -- pothole and police were on the scene, tow trucks had to move them. use caution as you head out the door. katherine scott channel 6
"action news." now to a developing story, firefighters battled a severe weather while putting out a fire at the jersey shore. seven boats were on fire along sea isle boulevard. fire crews found some of the boats had fuel on board and that accelerated the flames. it took an hour to bring them under control. no injuries were reported. fire marshal is investigating a cause. in most cases this is minor flooding, if you're in a low-lying area and you see water covering the road you want to avoid it. an exception to that would be the east brandywine creek. in downingtown we saw a crest back at 4:00 a.m. at 11:00 feet well above the flood stage that was producing major flooding. as we take a look live on the action cam, the waters, while still running high, are better than they were. there's the action cam shot. water is still running high along the east branch. brandywine along downingtown. we are expect be the water leaves to improve by 9:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. we should be back down to minor flooding and by lunchtime we'll thinking the situation will have improved there. temperatures are dropping today, 57 now, down to 51 by 9:00 a.m. we dip down into the mid 40s by 4:00 p.m.
